Object Management Group Updates OCUP 2 Intermediate Exam
Needham, MA - Sept. 19, 2016 - The Object Management Group® (OMG®) today launched an updated version of the Intermediate exam in the OMG Certified UML Professional 2™ (OCUP™ 2) Certification Program. The OCUP 2 Intermediate Exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skill in the construction and interpretation of model diagrams using OMG's Unified Modeling Language™, Version 2.5.
The OCUP 2 Intermediate coverage adds language elements and attributes that combine with those of the OCUP 2 Foundation level to form a richer and more complete palette for modeling software structure and behavior. The OCUP 2 Intermediate examination then tests a candidate's knowledge and skill in the use of this expanded palette.
"OMG is pleased to update the Intermediate stage of the OCUP Certification Program," said Dr. Jon Siegel, Vice President of Technology Transfer and Director of Certification at OMG. "Modelers at this level shape and direct a group's final product, making certification of their knowledge and skills critical to project management and stakeholders."
OCUP 2 examinations are offered worldwide in English at Pearson VUE testing centers and cost $200 USD in native English-speaking countries; $210 USD in countries where English is not the native language and testing time is extended by 30 minutes. Candidates who took the original OCUP Intermediate examination during or after 2014 may request a voucher from OMG to take the OCUP 2 Intermediate exam for free during its first year. The OCUP 2 Intermediate exam is totally new; no questions were carried over from the original OCUP Intermediate test.
